Frenship ISD director of finance receives state leadership award

Frenship ISD introduced that Lela Vela, FISD director of finance, has been selected as a 2022 Increase Award receiver by the Texas Affiliation of Faculty Organization Officers.
Vela is one of only 7 public education and learning administrators across the point out of Texas to acquire the award this 12 months, in accordance to a news launch from the district.
Vela and the other recipients of the Rise Award were picked based on their management attributes, achievements, and their need to continue on escalating their vocation. Vela has been with the Frenship household for 10 many years, serving in numerous roles inside of the Frenship ISD Business enterprise Business office which includes Accountant, Coordinator of Accounting, and now Director of Finance. Not only is Vela an energetic member of TASBO, earning their greatest certification of Registered Texas College Organization Administrator, but she also participates in many local community and Frenship committees and serves as a mentor to youthful enterprise professionals and pupils.
“For the previous 10 a long time, Mrs. Vela has been an inspiration and guiding power in the budgeting, accounting, and money operations for Frenship ISD,” explained Frenship ISD Assistant Superintendent Main Financial Officer Farley Reeves. “She has offered masterful leadership to the district group in acquiring audio budgeting techniques, providing economic guidance, training, and extraordinary assistance to all stakeholders.”
As a Rise Award receiver, Vela was honored in front of university small business leaders across Texas at the 2022 TASBO Interact Meeting Awards Luncheon. Vela says she was humbled to receive the honor, and she is energized to carry on increasing as a leader to better serve Frenship ISD.
“My wish is to go on to produce and increase myself and my coworkers with a collaborative environment, a coronary heart for service, and a scholar-concentrated way of thinking,” explained Vela. “The quantity of instruction, support, and guidance we can provide to campus staff members and central place of work team is paramount in purchase to make it possible for them to target on what they need to have to target on, our college students. I hope to foster this frame of mind and use it to increase our leaders who want to provide in training.”
